Hunger turns the eyes. The rumbles it makes in the stomach remind a person of a thunderstorm. Hunger numbs the body and drains any energy and strength that powers the body.
Hunger can make a man beg. A hungry man will reveal all the secrets of his life to attract sympathy to get help. He will present the most tragic of sights so that he can get emergency attention.
Hunger presents that unavoidable platform for reflection. No one thinks deeper and goes back in time than a hungry man. Hunger gives its victims a fertile memory to recall missed opportunities and fatal decisions made in life.
Most often, hunger induces hateful lies. A hungry man had blamed hunger for stealing and other heinous crimes. It has caused riots, looting and even wars. The grave has reaped bountiful harvests as a result of hunger.
Time is coming, and it’s on the horizon when no one will suffer hunger. Could you wait for it?
